Everyone has experienced printing, whether at work, at home or in a museum. One of the most famous German print masters is Albrecht Dürer, who gave print a new impact through his technique and compositions.
The artists Raymond Gantner, Tom Kristen and Bernhard Paul also do this in their own individual way.
Raymond Gantner pursues the idea of deconstruction. He destroys existing images (including those of Albrecht Dürer) and creates his works from the debris of others. They are colorful, partly abstract, partly representational depictions of what already exists and what is new.
Tom Kristen continues his signature style in his prints. These show depictions of fantastic figures in unreal-looking rooms. The presented prints belong to the series “Interior Suite” and make everyday situations appear like dream sequences.
Bernhard Paul not only follows a certain rhythm in his paintings, but also in his prints. Some prints appear to be painted, others create shapes from geometric contours. A play of color and form becomes visible.
