I would like to invite you to the exhibition “Painting 2.0” with Holger Zimmermann and Ferdinand Vogel in the gallery Anna25 (Schönleinstr. 25, 10967 Berlin) invite.

Art changes with the times. New media are developed, new paths are taken and new questions arise. What is possible with today’s media? How can visual expression change? And is it art at all?

The artists Ferdinand Vogel and Holger Zimmermann asked themselves these or similar questions. Both artists have found the new medium, the computer, for their art. Their art is not only created manually with paint and brushes, but digitally on the screen.

Ferdinand Vogel has been working exclusively with digital media since 2011. He transforms the analog traditions and techniques of art into a new, digital visual language. Using light and color, he creates abstract and expressive compositions as well as fragmented portraits.

Holger Zimmermann experiments with many art media, whether traditional painting, photography, collage – manually or digitally. In his P.U.C. series, the artist creates digital collages that have their origins in the pin-up, but are given a modern transformation through changes in structure and color.
