Another year is slowly drawing to a close. Concerts, art and culture have finally brought us a little closer to the long-awaited normality. And the long lockdowns have left us hungry for art! Museums and galleries are once again welcoming visitors and the streets are filled with people longing for cultural input.

Unfortunately, however, many people are less motivated to get out of the house now that the days are getting shorter and the temperatures are dropping. Winter is approaching and with it a familiar melancholy creeps in. Dreams of vacations, warmth and the sea are now part of the attempt to get through the cold season. But what inspires us to dream more than art? It can inspire and motivate, but above all it can bring joy. So what if there was a solution to being permanently surrounded by art, regardless of the weather? All you have to do is bring it into your home. Hanging it on the wall or putting it up, you can look at it day in, day out. The idea of buying art sounds unthinkable to most people, as it is often associated with investing a lot of money. But it doesn’t have to be like that!
The AffordableAnna25 exhibition makes it possible to acquire art for a reasonable and affordable price. Eight artists are exhibiting their works together to make art ownership affordable for everyone. The prices range from 500 – 2000 euros.
It is therefore the perfect opportunity to invest in art for small amounts and own it. Whether the work is the latest addition to an existing collection or simply intended to embellish your own four walls is entirely up to you.
There is another event that should not be forgotten, which is getting closer and closer as the temperatures drop. From December 1 at the latest, many people start to wonder what they could possibly give their loved ones for Christmas. The little treasures are perfect for this. Perhaps memories of shared experiences are awakened or particularly beautiful moments can be associated with one of the works.
Of course, tastes differ, but with the wide selection of artists, there is sure to be something for everyone. AffordableAnna25 not only brings together art that offers a look back at the exhibitions of the past year, but also a preview of what the gallery has in store for 2022. This year, for example, there has already been the opportunity to view the socially critical works of Pham Thai Ho or the works of Irish artist George Warren, who is represented this time with various bronze statues. However, works by artists who will not be exhibited until next year also provide a foretaste of what the future holds. For example, the artist Jazoo Yang with her works cast in resin or Irmi Obermeyer, who is showing a selection of her abstract works.
There is a very wide selection of art to discover. The text only mentions some of the artists from whom you have the opportunity to purchase a small piece of joy. Whether you do this for yourself or for someone else is up to you.
